Organizer Information

In the questionnaire (survey) people were asked what other kinds of events they would like to see ... here are some answers for people to consider. Maybe YOU can organize such an event!

Social events; movies, games....?
Scuba diving.
Squash, general site-seeing trips, slightly longer trips to Kyushsu or southern Honshu.
Wine/sake tasting, music festivals, maybe some kind of cultural events, baseball games, etc.
Paragliding, badminton, sake brewery tour.
Orienteering and map reading, trail running, caving, and if time allows, a really long hike (five+ days).
Trail Running.
Caving.
Anything anyone comes up with that sounds interesting.
Camping.
Anything... I'm not really into winter sports but any activity outdoors in the spring/ summer... B.B.Qs, Cherry Blossom Party, Cycling along the coast, beach day trips etc... Beach, beach, beach :-)
Maybe cultural events, like Japanese people who have good knowledge in some historical places could explain, or tea ceremony for example and maybe go to festival (music or matsuri)
Badminton, table tennis, yoga.

How would you improve the club?

More activity choices.
I think many members get scared off by the high level of hikes and climbs. The impression can be it is for serious hard core hikers, maybe not so welcoming to casual members with only passing interest in hiking.
Get more people organizing events. People involved in thinking of ways to make the club better.
I prefer one day trip. Because my job is busy so it is difficult to participate if the trip is always overnight trip.
A stronger sense of community and solidarity would be nice. However, this partly depends on the level of participation and enthusiasm, which all boils down each individual and the real reason why they joined.
Otherwise, this survey is a good first step to determining the best ways to improve the club.

I would like to see more trips planned several weeks in advance - realize its weather depend at but if I know there is something coming up I would like to go on I can plan for it.
More one-day events, easy activities so more people can join.
More easy hikes
Offering more variety of events, including social ones, perhaps?
More Japanese on the homepage.

I think that many of the members are beginners or intermediate, and so if more easy trips are organized a week in advance, more people can join you, which will invigorate the club.
Have trips planned out earlier
Multiple leadership
Don't know how but get more organizers and more events for people to choose...
More opportunity to borrow, hire, or buy equipment from other members
Make plan earlier
Provide event information a little bit more ahead.
